The power of touch

acupressure chinese medicine massage meridians Feb 16, 2021

Do you miss touch?

This month I want to give you a little preview into meridian flow Acupressure because I think we all need a little bit more touch in our lives.

Giving yourself or someone you love an Acupressure massage is a great way to enjoy healing touch and activating the self-healing response in the body.

I show most of my patients some Acupoints they can massage themselves to extend the effect of the treatment and become involved in their own treatment success.

Most people love it because it’s simple and so effective.

I love to add a suitable Essential Oil to the experience and watch how much my patients enjoy and benefit from this combination.

For those of you who want to know more about acupressure, the meridians of the Body and how to understand your own energy better, the updated version of the Five course is open for enrolment from February 25th.

Here is an introduction to what this course has to offer you. Watch video.

Why I think everyone should know some Acupressure.

We all need touch in our lives. And most of us don’t really get enough of it.

Self-acupressure is simple, efficient and beautiful to experience. Everyone who would like to take care of their body's energy systems can learn it.

It’s older than acupuncture, effective and brings balance to body, mind and spirit. And the best about it, you only need your hands to start.

Now let’s look at how Acupressure actually works.

Simply put, Acupressure is like Acupuncture but without using needles. We use the same pathway or Meridians as Acupuncture does. Instead of needles, we use our own hand or finger pressure.

Acupressure points are areas on the skin that are especially sensitive to bioelectrical impulses in the body and conduct those impulses readily. The acupressure points belong to a whole meridian and by pressing points, we always influence the whole energy pathway. The meridians are found on the surface of the body, but also follow an internal pathway to each of our major organs, tissues and muscles.

Muscle tension yields to the finger pressure, enabling the fibres to elongate and relax, blood to flow freely, and toxins to be released and eliminated. That’s why it feels so good!

Here is a video from the Meridian Flow acupressure module of The Five online course for you to watch how I find the points on the arm, try it out and let me know how you go.

The Five opens on February 25th, Be the first to know when the course reopens. Sign up here and we'll keep you posted.
